To receive its RIOS certification, this past summer Ocala underwent a two-stage initial certification audit conducted by SGS
Systems & Services Certification. The first stage of the certification process was to make sure
Ocala’s operation was ready for
auditing. The second part of the
audit involved on-site examination by two auditors over three
days, Wagger said.
“They basically turned the facility upside down,” he said.
Wagger said the auditors make
sure the workers for RIOS certified companies understand quality, environmental, health and
safety standards and that the
procedures are being followed. ■
